Mac Sparkley Tartan Tale

Merry Christmas everyone! Soooo as I was sat today on a needed day off from work, I decided my next couple of blogs would be about presents I received over Christmas! Now as i was un-wrapping them all on Xmas morning I received about 4 gifts from the Tartan Tale products!
The first one im reviewing I was extremely excited about, it was one of the little tins that included 5 pigments/glitters =D !!!!!

So From L-R
Mauvement, Silver Fog, Reflects Pearl, Cheers My Dear! and Softwash Grey.

Now these are little minitures of the normal pigment bottles but I personally think they are a great size and will last me a long time =)

So the bottom colour ( near my wrist) Mauvement,
Then from top to bottom Silver Fog, Reflects Pearl, Cheers My Dear! and Softwash Grey.

Now I love love love these pigments not alot is needed to get the desired colour , I also found them very build-able, and can be deepend easily! Reflects Pearl has to be my fav! Its just amazing and sparkley which im unusually loving at the minute!
Definitely a thumbs up to MAC for this product!
I cant wait to do FOTD with these =) deffinitly be gettin put to use!

What do you guys think?
Are you a pigment fan?

Hair one ?

So after I read a few reviews of hair cleanses I really wanted to try one. After reading a few blog reviews, being a huge fan of Sara walker and discovering she had found one in tkmaxx for only £5.99!
I decided to hit the shop and pick myself one up, so after hitting Leeds and Newcastle they had completely sold out! On the off chance I tried my hometown store Middlesbrough which FYI never ever have anything half decent in and to be completely honest you have to fight your way through! But I was in luck for once and I found the hair one for colour treated hair!

This product if you can get your hands on it is £5.99 from tkmaxx or is available at amazon for a hefty £10.19! Which is out of my budget!
So after I had watched Sara's video on YouTube I knew this was a lengthy procedure in applying the product with something daft along the lines of "7 pumps to the crown 6 to the nape of the neck then 6\7 through the ends" please note these are not direct instructions! So I followed the instructions on the tub and it claims to cleanse, add shine, detangle and condition hair!
After I left the product on for about 10 mins I washed it all out and then dried it as normal! Oh forgot to say my bottle was for colour treated hair! As I have over dyed mine at the minute so any hints or tips to get the colour out are muchly appreciated! I change my mind far to much . But anyway back to the product!

I found that it didn't detangle my hair , but I have really reLly knotty hair at the best of times so I didnt expect this to work anyway!
Once dried my hair was extremely shiny and looked really glossy so I loved this part!
However I found this product really dried my hair out and didn't condition my hair at all it left it really dry feeling and sort of stiff!

Overall I didn't rate this product at all, I am going to give it another go and see how it fairs up second time round so if I change my mind on the product I will let you all know!

Please remember what works or doesn't work for me may have the opposite effect for you :) everyones different remember!

Eyeko Magic Mascara??!!??

So I recently made a new purchase on the Eyeko website(well to be honest quite a few purchases), the first thing I decided on was the Magic Mascara! Which will be getting the first review!
Now I dont know about anyone else but I like my eyelashes big bold and black, no inbetweens! Previous to this mascara I had been loving the YSL faux lash effect and the L'oreal Million Lashes.

The first thing you notice is the gorgeous packaging its a bright vibrant purple with a cure flower design and little diamotes here and there! Which i have to say which products from eyeko arnt cute?

Eyeko Magic Mascara
When I first opened the package to have a look at the brush you will first see its a nice round brush not too big not too small! And you get a good amount of product on the brush too!

Now when i applied this product I personally had an instant wow effect! It just made my eyelashes soo long looking and full! It wasnt too clumpy either. It is an amzing mascara and can do no wrong for me at the minute!
And deffinitly beats my L'oreal one!
RRP £8.00
Spend over £15 and enter my embassador code  E12681 at the checkout and recieve a free product and free delivery!

Urban Decay Review!

This is just a very quick update on the latest happenings with me, I haven't updated for a while since ive been away for the weekend and also work has been super super busy since Christmas is'a coming! So over the weekend I visited Leeds with some old uni friends, it was a fab time visiting the Xmas market and going on the carousel also the dodgems! During this time I road tested the two urban decay products I purchased last week! So as i was getting ready for the night out I made sure I used the two products Urban Decay Eye Primer and the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray - claims to make it last 16hours!

So I was a bit naughty and forgot to take my make up once I got in, and what happened I fell asleep and left a whole face of make up on!
The result??
I woke up without any make up moving! My make up looked like I had just applied it (Luckily I didn't get none on the pillows!!) All I can say is what a fab product! I applied my make up at approx 7pm and woke up around 11:45am! So it survived the cold walking from pub to pub a good 4 hours dancing and a whole nights sleep without a smudge on my face! Verdict FAB FAB FAB!!!

Con!!!
The only problem I found was that my eye primer didn't have a stopper on it so I got an excessive amount of product and that when i placed the wand back in the tube, it spilt over! :( :( but im pretty sure that's just mine!

But I really think worth the spend! And definitely a must have!

Shampoo of the Month! SOTM December

Soo I was sat thinking today about what my next blog post could be, and I soon realised I had no new products ready for review and I'm waiting for a few of the postie this month.
So I have decided im going too review a drug store(boots/superdrug) shampoo every month as I seem to get a new one every month and I refuse to pay salon prices for a shampoo, last month I didn't write a separate post it was included in my November favourites and it was the Aussie Volume shampoo and conditioner that I loved. This month im using the L'oreal Elive Full Restore Shampoo and Conditioner ( £1.99 buy one get one free from asda or tesco i cant remember)
I found the shampoo and conditioner is amazing and does amazing things to my hair! It looked shiny healthy and overall in good condition. The conditioner is quite thick too which is always good! The shampoo lathered up really well and seemed to really clean my hair (if that makes sense?)
The only downside to this product is I would have preffered it to be more scented i found that they wasn't a overall nice smell to it, it seemed quite bland to me! but this is the only con to the products.
The bottle claims to :

Helps restore 5 visible signs of replenished hair:
1. Feels stronger*
2. Looks fuller
3. Looks revitalised
4. With a healthy looking shine
5. Looks silkier

I deffinitley feel that this products ticks all the above 5 points, without leaving my hair feeling heavy or with any residue on it!
Overall rating 8/10 only since i like a lovely smelly shampoo and conditioner

Urban Decay Haul!!

So i was out the  other day up in snowy Newcastle and has a little pop into Boots! I picked up one old favourite the Baltise Dry Shampoo! But after watching a few videos here and there, then reading some blogs, I decided i wanted two new products the first one i picked up was the new Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup setting spray, this one is make by the infamous skindinavia. It states that you should spray it 8-10 centimetres away and from 2-4 sprays and the result will be 16 hour non budging makeup! I haven't actually tried this product yet, I'm going to put it to a hard test this weekend during a night out in Leeds, after no doubt hours of dancing. So i will review it at a later date! And retails in Boots for £17.50 a little pricey but if its a good’un then why not :)! Another bonus its cruelty free, fragrance and oil free!!
110310-Urban-Decay-400
The next product was the Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion! Now this product needs no in introduction or fancy words its meant to be fab!! Further I'm going to put it to the test this coming weekend to see how it works for me ! RRP £11.00
300
The only downside is the obvious packaging problem, with getting the product out of the container but there are apparently many ways to do this!
I will update this at a later date with how i found the products :)
Remember check my giveaway!!!

Squeaky Clean Brushes!

So the other day i was applying my make up and noticed my brushes were horribly dirty! Now i don’t use a cleaner on them every time i use them such as the brush cleanser from MAC now that is only £8 so its not too bad but I personally prefer to deep clean, however i think i will in the future purchase the cleanser by MAC so i can see what i like the most :) (fyi i do have an anti bacterial spray to kill any nasty germs!)
After trying numerous ways to get rid of the left over make up from them I feel that Johnsons baby shampoo just works like a miracle on them! Leaving them like brand new! I got my bottle from Wilkinson's ( which is a cheap store that sells pretty much everything) and was a smidge at 99pennys! So ill show you my photo evidence :) !
IMG_0197[1]
As you can see they were pretty dirty!
The method I used was just filling up the bathroom sink with warm water, and squirting some of the shampoo in with all the brushes, i then gave them a swish about. It can loosen the handles but I leave them in about 5 second to get them throughally wet, but you can just dip the head of the brush if you dont want to chance this :)
IMG_0201[1]
Look at the water …. yak!
IMG_0204[1]
For ones that i use everyday i massaged some of the shampoo directly into the brushes just to make sure there extra squeaky clean!
This is what they look like now!
IMG_0206[1]
All back white and lovely again!
Now i know probley everyone knows how to clean there brushes, but hey ho you never no someone might just be sat there now wondering!
So i hope i helped!
Also I'm still running my 50 follower giveaway, so follow by blog and comment on the link below :)

Beauty Product Sell By Dates?

Soo this post comes from my recent treasure find, being stuck in the house today since the snow is up-to my waist in places. I decided to have a clear out in a cupboard in my bedroom. After throwing some products out I can to the back, and what did I find standing there two Liz Earle products. I found the Cleanse and Polish and also Instant Boost Skin Tonic. Now the design on mine is different due to them being that old (there also pretty full too!) Now they arnt mine, my mam bought them from QVC around 10 years ago at least! Now she said I can have them since she isn't bothered by them!

So you can see my packaging is different to the Liz Earle products now! So I have used the products this morning and they still smell lovely and have left my skin silky smooth, so do you guys think beauty products have a recommended use by date?
Or do these products last pretty much forever?
What do you guys think?
Terri xx
